Modes & security
A mode changes how AAIS behaves for you: whether it may call the outside AI or the web, how readily it asks “are you sure?”, and how much it writes in your activity log. Switch any time.
The AAIS Protocol
The AAIS Protocol is the set of rules that decides what AAIS may do for you, and when it must ask. Three ideas hold it together:
- Modes set how much AAIS does on its own and how private it stays.
- The permission brain looks at how risky an action is, your mode, and how much it trusts the device, then answers allow, ask first or deny, always with a plain reason.
- Device trust and the activity log let you see where your account is used and cut a device off.
Live today: modes, the permission brain on sensitive owner actions, device trust and sign-out, the activity log, Interlink for people and AI agents, and for the account owner an Alerts page and a Shadow console that watch for real problems and always ask before acting.
Planned: applying the permission brain to every customer action, more modes controlling agents, and a developer API.
Deliberately not built: AAIS will never spend your money or buy anything without asking you first. Replacing passwords is not on the roadmap: your sign-in stays as it is, and the protocol adds protection on top.
